Every race day, our panel studies the form, finds the value and posts the card — including Early Plays Selections — to the Clubroom Chat. Silver members get live updates, form notes and direct access to the panel. Bronze members get the Saturday selections and Spring Carnival tips delivered by email. Full set and final results will be posted publicly on the Facebook page for everyone to see at the completion of all meetings.
Long before the concept of Footy Nags evolved the boys shared a mutual interest in horse racing and the punt, originally we were all in the same TAFE course and would spend our lunchtimes across the road at the local PubTAB getting our bets on and continuing studying the form back when class resumed. Over the years it grew into a disciplined, members-only service built around one idea: punters deserve straight talk, transparent results and tips they can actually follow.

David Mitchell is a Victorian-based businessman, sports enthusiast and entrepreneur with a strong passion for Australian rules football, horse racing and building ideas from the ground up.
With a background in the wagering industry, David has spent over 16 years working in the field, giving him a firsthand understanding of punters, betting culture and the challenges facing traditional wagering venues. He has a practical, hands-on approach to business and is constantly looking for ways to improve existing models, create new opportunities and turn ideas into sustainable ventures.
David is the founder of Footy Nags, an Australian tipping and content platform focused on AFL and horse racing. He has worked to build a brand centred around logical selections, transparency and publicly tracked results. The business has grown from a social-media-based tipping concept into a dedicated membership and subscription offering.
Away from business, David has a strong connection to grassroots football and the wider sporting community. His interests include junior football development, local football clubs and Australian sport more broadly.

I'm Phil, the Footy Nags Form Analyst, focusing primarily on Victorian racing, and I've been passionate about horse racing and AFL for as long as I can remember.
Footy Nags started from something pretty simple — I love analysing racing, studying form and trying to work out not only who can win, but whether they're actually worth backing at the price.
Over time, that interest has developed into a much more structured approach. I spend countless hours going through form, ratings, track conditions, race shape, speed, barriers, market movements and previous performances to find the runners I believe offer the best betting opportunities.
I'm also a big believer that successful punting isn't about having a bet in every race. Price, value and staking matter just as much as finding the winner. That's why Footy Nags focuses heavily on disciplined betting strategies and knowing when to bet — and when to stay out.
One of the biggest parts of Footy Nags is constantly learning. I review our results, identify horses to follow and forgive, track stable and track patterns, and use what we learn to keep improving the way we assess future races.
Away from racing, AFL is another huge passion of mine, and Footy Nags gives me the opportunity to combine the two sports I love.
I'm not here to promise winners every race or pretend there's a magic formula to punting. There isn't.
